Welcome to Vienna! Meet your bus and guide at the airport and transfer to the city centre via a panoramic tour. Embark on a tour which brings you to the most quintessential sights of Vienna! On this tour you will enjoy a panoramic tour by coach with a walking tour of the city centre. The route goes along the Ringstrasse with its imposing buildings like the Vienna State Opera, the Museum of Fine Arts, Museum of Natural History, Hofburg Palace, the Parliament, the City Hall and the Burgtheater. Enjoy Vienna’s splendid architecture and continue to the “Danube city” which is also called the skyline of Vienna. Afterwards we will take you to the Hundertwasserhaus & Kunsthaus – the Art Nouveau buildings of Friedensreich Hundertwasser. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Breakfast at the hotel. Meet your guide for a half day walking tour of the 1st district including an inside visit of the Hofburg complex. You will enjoy a walking tour of the city where you can see Vienna’s major highlights of the 1st district such as the Albertina, the state opera and Hotel Sacher, the Jewish area as well as St Stephan’s Cathedral. The highlight of the tour will be an inside visit of the Hofburg, the former winter palace of the Habsburgs where you will see the imperial apartments as well as the treasury. Balance of the afternoon free at your leisure. Dinner will be served at a typical wine tavern in one of the wine areas of the cities. During the dinner some typical Viennese live music will entertain you.
Day 4 – Sunday / September 20, 2020 VIENNA, AUSTRIA (B/Tasting)
Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will enjoy a full day culinary tour of Vienna. This foodie’s tour will lead you by coach to Schönbrunn palace, the former summer residence of the Habsburgs, where you will have a chance to watch how to make a real Viennese classic – apple strudel! See them make the dough so thin, but not tear it while filling and the flavors used for the filling. During the entertaining show you will of course get to taste how real strudel should taste! The markets in Vienna play an important role in the culinary and social life of the city. Vienna’s best-known market, the Naschmarkt, has around 120 market stands and restaurants for a colorful culinary offering ranging from Viennese to Indian, and from Vietnamese to Italian. While visiting the market, you will have the chance to sample some local culinary products and delights including one of the various sausage variations at a traditional Würstelstand (sausage stand). You will also taste several Austrian wines and cheeses at the wine bar of the Meinl am Graben delicatessen. But no culinary tour will be complete without coffee and cake. The Viennese coffee house is known around the globe for its informal pleasantness, as an oasis of “Gemütlichkeit”. Since 2011, the traditional Viennese coffee house culture has even belonged to the intangible cultural heritage of UNESCO. The balance of the afternoon and evening are free at your leisure.
Day 5 – Monday / September 21, 2020 VIENNA – SALZBURG, AUSTRIA (B/L)
Breakfast at the hotel followed by check out. Board your coach together with your local guide and head west towards Salzburg. On the way there will be several stops at the Danube valley (Wachau). This tour cannot be missed – a trip to the beautiful UNESCO area of the Wachau Valley! Through this idyllic scenery full of history and legends, the Danube River winds its way past charming old villages and steep vineyards. The old castles tell us about the former importance of this trade- and traffic way, one of them Dürnstein, which is especially famous because here King Richard Lionheart was imprisoned while waiting for his ransom to arrive from England, raised by his faithful Minstrel Blondel. During a picturesque boat-trip, you will pass Dürnstein and enjoy the beautiful view of this village, this history truly comes alive. Lunch will be at a local restaurant. The highlight of today’s excursion will be a visit of the Benedictine abbey of Melk, one of Austria´s most famous Baroque buildings, which together with the Wachau area, won the award for “Best Historic Destination of the World”. Day 6 – Tuesday / September 22, 2020 SALZBURG, AUSTRIA (B/L)
Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast enjoy a half day walking tour of the historic centre of Salzburg. Explore the heart of the city of Salzburg. Starting at Palace Mirabell. The palace was built under the reign of the famous baroque prince Archbishop Wolf Dietrich von Reitenau for his mistress Salome Alt and their 15 children. At the Makartplatz, next to the Palace Mirabell, you will see the Mozart Residence. You will explore the New Town and this side of the river before crossing the bridge “Makartsteg” to arrive at the Old Town of Salzburg. Here we will get to Salzburg’s most famous street, the Getreidegasse, which is especially renowned for its wrought iron trade signs and Mozart’s Birthplace. Stroll through Salzburg’s Old Town to admire its historical buildings, such as the medieval apartments and churches that were built from the middle ages to the baroque time, and conclude the tour with a panoramic view from Mönchsberg Hill. After the tour you will enjoy lunch at the most historic restaurant in middle Europe, the historic cloister restaurant at St. Peter abbey. The afternoon and evening are free at your leisure.
Day 7 – Wednesday / September 23, 2020 SALZBURG – INNSBRUCK, AUSTRIA (B/D)
Breakfast at the hotel followed by check out. Board your coach and head further west towards Innsbruck. Upon arrival meet your local guide in Innsbruck for a walking tour of the Tyrolean capital. Discover the sights of Innsbruck and enjoy an interesting and varied tour through the beautiful old town. Start at the Burggraben, a historic street at the entrance to the old town. First explore the Gothic city centre and admire the impressive golden roof of the Goldene Dachl with its Gothic balconies. Then see the Imperial Court Church, the Imperial Palace, the City Tower and Innsbruck Cathedral.

Day 8 – Thursday / September 24, 2020 INNSBRUCK – NEUSCHWANSTEIN CASTLE, GERMANY (B/D)
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart this morning by coach for a full day excursion to the famous fairy-tale castle of Neuschwanstein and Füssen, Germany. Towering over rocky crags at the foot of the German Alps, Neuschwanstein Castle has inspired awe and wonder ever since it opened to the public in 1886. This full-day tour is a fairytale adventure that is not to be missed. On arrival, enjoy the splendour of the village of Hohenschwangau, and continue to Neuschwanstein’s neighboring castle. Hear about the famous legend of Lohengrin as you look over the Alpsee. A short climb up to the Marienbrücke reveals picture-perfect views of the 19th-Century, neo-romantic masterpiece, as well as the gorge beneath. From the courtyard, listen as your guide tells the story of the budget-busting, problematic construction of Neuschwanstein Castle. Hear about the life and passions of Ludwig and discover the story behind his mysterious death. You will have a free time to explore the majestic place, lunch is on your own. Breakfast at the hotel followed by check out. Depart to Venice with a stop half-way to have your lunch on your own. We will continue our journey to Venice with many panormic views of the area. Day 10 – Saturday / September 26, 2020 VENICE, ITALY (B/D)
Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a guided walking tour of Venice. Visit the landmarks and historical sites of the city centre (exteriors only): St. Mark’s Square and its monuments, S. Maria Formosa, the Church and Campo of S.S. Giovannie Paolo, Marco Polo’s house, Teatro Malibran, and the famous Mercerie. Free time for lunch on your own. In the afternoon you will be taken to the embarkation point for your 30 minute gondola ride. Take a gondola ride along the most suggestive canals of Venice and part of the Grand Canal to discover its charming aspects. In the evening, dinner will be at a local restaurant nearby the hotel.
Day 11 – Sunday / September 27, 2020 VENICE – EMBARKATION (B/D)
Breakfast at the hotel followed by check out. Enjoy a half-day excursion by boat to the Lagoon to visit the islands of Murano and Burano. It is a unique experience which will lead you to the historic, artistic and popular heart of the northern part of the Venetian Lagoon. From the boat you can take some breathtaking pictures of the Lagoon and its several islands. You will visit MURANO and BURANO which are the traditional destinations among the islands. Return to Venice Island and then transfer to the pier to embark on you cruise aboard the Norwegian Dawn, your home away from home for next 8 days while exploring the beautiful Adriatic coast and the Greek Isles.
Day 12 – Monday / September 28, 2020 KOTOR, MONTENEGRO (B/L/D)
Tucked away between the mountains and the Bay of Kotor, one of the most indented parts of the Adriatic Sea, is where you’ll find the picturesque town of Kotor. As you arrive at this secluded city, you’ll notice the dramatic 65-foot high protective walls, which date back to the Venetian period during the 9th century. Stroll the labyrinth of cobbled streets with cozy cafes and craft shops as you marvel at the graceful old buildings. Listed as a UNESCO World Natural and Historical Heritage Site, Kotor is also world-famous as a premier yachting and sailing destination.
Day 13 – Tuesday / September 29, 2020 CORFU, GREECE (B/L/D)
One of the lushest of the Greek Isles, Corfu is rimmed in dramatic blue waters and topped with tranquil hillside villages. A collection of quaint cafes in the town of Corfu feels very continental, but the island’s secluded coves and sandy beaches could only be found in the Greek Isles.
Day 14 – Wednesday / September 30, 2020 SANTORINI, GREECE (B/L/D)
Whitewashed villages clinging to the sides of the sea cliffs have made the volcanic island of Santorini one of the most widely photographed places in the world. The island’s charm and subtle mystery have even made it a target of speculation as the location of the lost city of Atlantis.
Day 15 – Thursday / October 1, 2020 MYKONOS, GREECE (B/L/D)
Mykonos is a classic Greek Island with whitewashed houses, blue-domed churches and windmills. Add a reputation for beautiful beaches and you’ll understand why Mykonos is the most popular island in the Cyclades. Explore the island in a 4 x 4 or take a ferry to the tiny island of Delos.
Day 16 – Friday / October 2, 2020 ARGOSTOLI, KEFALONIA, GREECE (B/L/D)
Looking at picturesque Argostoli, you wouldn’t know it suffered a devastating earthquake in 1953. The city and its surrounding area are full of treasures, including a 12th-century Byzantine cathedral and beautiful 16th century frescoes. The nearby underground Lake of Melissani is simply magical. Enter the caves to find ancient stalactites, and marvel at the scattered rays of light beaming through, turning the water an intense blue.
Day 17 – Saturday / October 3, 2020 DUBROVNIK, CROATIA (B/L/D)
Despite the magnificent 13th century walls that surround the city, Dubrovnik is one of the most welcoming cruise destinations in all of Europe.
